At the heart of our academic efforts are our students. For them, we use educational standards that are science-backed and culturally relevant. These standards align with our thoughtfully-crafted academic lessons. These lessons help children deeply understand the processes of writing, reading, and math.

Curriculum Maps
Literacy & Reading
Children should fall in love with reading and writing. With both skills, they can learn anything. They can also learn how to communicate effectively.
Science & STEM
At PS 30M, students can learn about STEM at all grade levels (Pre K—5th). They’re also able to explore science in our Science Lab.
Math
We teach our students how to solve real-world problems with math. Students learn standard approaches to math. But also how to develop their own approaches.
Social Studies
Students must understand the past to understand the current social and political climate. Learning social studies is the best way to do this.
The Arts
Artistic expression, which includes music, art, and dance at PS 30M, benefits children in so many ways—improving critical thinking, study skills, and creativity while lowering stress.
Health & Wellness
From lacrosse to yoga, mentorships and health clinics, we provide children with wrap-around resources for their growth, development, health, and wellbeing.
