SCIENCE & STEM

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. At PS 30M, students can learn about STEM both inside and outside the classroom at all grade levels (Pre-K through 5).

 

From using 3D printers to robots, PS 30M has something for every student. Students are also able to explore science in our science lab and through the arts. When STEM is paired with the arts, it is called STEAM. History and literacy may also be included.

A STEM education pushes students to ask questions and solve problems in the world they live in. Students do this using engineering design processes. Students also use math and science to find ways to make science, math, and technology relevant to their lives.

 

Our STEM education includes a variety of courses that combine subjects such as:
