OUR LIBRARY
From the PS 30M Library, all students are free to borrow books. Our Open Access Library is dedicated to the teacher, James Boucher, and is a place where students can read, study, and learn Language Arts.
We have over 10,000 popular fiction, non-fiction, and picture books that 3K and Pre-K to 5th-grade children can read. There are a few books for parents as well, as PS 30M is one of a few schools in NYC with access to the NYC Public Library's book catalog.
PS 30M also has a Certified School Library Media Specialist on staff to help students find the books. Our Librarian is licensed and dedicated to teaching our students the library skills they need to conduct secondary research for projects.
Literature appreciation, reading skills, and writing skills are also covered. We even have a series of Family Engagement Reading Nights.
